Dale was 1st introduced to Pickleball at the Knox Mountain Tennis Courts 5 years ago, and now plays as often as possible. He is passionate about the game, and passionate about his new role within PKC having spent the last 3 years as a PKC Director. He looks forward to working with the new PKC Board as they continuously adapt to enhance membership satisfaction.

Vice President

Ray was introduced to pickleball while wintering in Indio, California in 2009. Pickleball has been a big part of his life ever since. He is looking forward to working with the board to further advance good communication and stewardship in the club. Knowing that the last board members were pioneers and exceptional representatives, the work he endeavors to do will take their examples from the past in complete consideration.

When introduced to pickleball three years ago I saw the competitive aspect but most importantly the social portion of the game. Met a lot people who were passionate about the game and gave a lot of their time. Realized that this was a great community sport which people of all skill levels could enjoy and entire families could participate in. Being semi retired and recognizing the importance of providing a good community atmosphere looking forward to working with PKC and everyone to further pickleball status in the community and across the country.

Karen is the club's secretary and registrar. When not playing pickleball she spends time gardening and taking care of her Grandson, who calls her 'Grandma Pickle'.

Ray Timbers

Ray Timbers
Membership Coordinator

Ray or 'Zumba Ray', as he is also referred to, has been involved with Pickleball Kelowna since it's old Harwick Park days.

Ray has served as a past Ambassador for Pickleball Canada and is a valued ambassador for Kelowna. He is always willing to teach pickleball throughout the community, whether it's for the Xplorers Camp for Kids, the Boys and Girls Club or other groups that are keen to learn the game.

Ray will be setting up beginner lessons on select Tuesday evenings. He also enjoys just showing up for some of the evening play on 3.0 and under Monday and Thursday nights and is always willing to spend time on the courts assisting newer players.

Ros Condrashoff

Rosalind joined Pickleball Kelowna in 2015 after learning pickleball as a snowbird in Sun City, Arizona.

Ros (for short) started in this new position July 2016 and chaired the Fun Tournament in 2016/2017.  They were a great success and the club looks forward to the 2018 Fun Tournament. If any member has ideas for club events, be sure to contact Ros to see if they are able to be implemented in the future.

Krista Kunz

Krista started playing pickleball in the winter of 2014 when she attended her first introductory class in Arizona. Upon moving to Kelowna, she joined PKC and since then, has been working on building her skill sets and improving her game.
 
For the 2018 season, Krista will be coordinating the Club's player development clinics which will continue to focus on helping players at all levels improve their pickleball game.

Todd Blackwell

Todd began playing pickleball just a few years ago, enjoying it more than the tennis he previously played.  As a volunteer at the 2017 National Tournament, he was approached to consider taking on this newly created position, once under the stewardship of the Vice-President. He is looking forward to updating the website and collecting and distributing all the pickleball information via the Newsletter aspiring to keep the Members up to date.

Rita Ward
Court Host Ambassador

Rita was introduced to pickleball in Arizona, 2012 and became an active member and court host in 2013. She became Court Host Co-ordinator in 2016, and under her direction, PKC has over 20 dedicated court hosts. She is always looking for more to recruit as "Many hands make light work"!!!  She looks forward to hosting her Court host 'Information Session' the first week in May.
