14x USAPA National CHAMPION: 9x Canadian, 2x International, 3x Tournament of Champions. US Open Pickleball Championships – 4 medals including Pro Women’s Doubles – Bronze.

Jennifer Lucore's first exposure to pickleball was in 2007 when she was vacationing with her family and met up with her parents, Bob and Bev Youngren, in Bend, OR for a fun family tournament. There she saw how all ages can compete and have a great time together. She attended the very first USAPA Nationals in 2009 for a mini vacation, and to just watch her parents compete. In 2010 she started playing and from there caught the love and passion for the game and the people that play. Through pickleball, Jennifer has been able to travel and meet great friends from around the country; and internationally (Yay Canada, Spain and The Netherlands). We were introduced to PICKLEBALL in late 1990s while on a RV trip to Bend, Oregon.  After playing competitive tennis and teaching tennis, Bob was forced to give up the sport he loved because of wrist injuries.   When he played PICKLEBALL for the first time for 5 hours, the sport didn’t seem to affect his wrist.   We were addicted!!  We started playing PICKLEBALL tournaments with great success because of our tennis background.   There was very little PICKLEBALL instruction available, so it was a natural transition for us from tennis to PICKLEBALL.  We currently teach weekly classes in Surprise, Arizona during the winter months.   We also helped introduce PICKLEBALL in San Diego County almost 10 years ago….now there are over 28 venues!  We have over 300 medals between from all the tournaments.  Bob is currently one of the oldest 5.0 USAPA nationally ranked players (a stat he is not too proud about).  Traveling about in our RV allows us to meet players of all skill levels and ages…..and the enthusiasm is always there.   We have played PICKLEBALL in Costa Rica, Cancun, Jamaica, Spain and all over USA.   Now we will play in Canada!   As retirees, we love PICKLEBALL because it enables us to stay active, healthy, and have a lot of fun!   Once you have tried this game with a silly name, you too will be addicted.
